Local Love: COLLECTED THREAD

I've got to give credit where credit is due. When we moved here in 2009, there was a stirring. Creative energy was on the up, and I couldn't place a finger on the source yet. Undoubtedly, the OKC Thunder, our NBA franchise basketball team, brought a strong presence around that time, and we saw a surge of city pride. Small creative businesses were popping up more frequently, and some pockets of the city had particular effectiveness, namely the resurgence seen in the Plaza District. One of those brave souls to open when folks didn't quite see the vision? Lindsay Zodrow of Collected Thread. Her boutique just turned 8 years old (!!!!) and is the right kind of handmade that doesn't feel too cutesy, while obviously maintaining high attention to detail and creativity.

Not only has Collected Thread been a favorite place to visit and recommend for years, we're now especially fond of them because we've moved in next door to the Zodrows! Instantly, our Nora and their Noah have hit it off to epic proportions, and are actually planning their own wedding to each other. What on earth even?!

To treat yourself, or to spoil someone with fun, stylish taste, don't waste a second getting over there! I've included some grabs of my favorites from their selection. All photos are by Lindsay, I believe.

I'll share more of my favorites weekly, and the opinions expressed are completely my own. This shout out is not sponsored -- I am sharing because I really like it that much, and think you would, too. Let me know your favorite thing about Collected Thread in the comments if you've been before! Is it the store displays? Or their candle selection? Or how nice Lindsay is?
